Die Design and Device Modeling Development Engineer

What You Will Do:
* Develop modeling/simulation technical competency in design of LED devices architecture to guide LED technology development for device performance gain, reliability improvement.
* Perform multi-physics (optical, electrical, electro-thermal) modelling/simulation to design and optimize next generation LED devices architecture, die layout and packaging.
* Perform modeling/simulation analysis to characterize the optical and electrical interaction between Epitaxy light emission layer, LED die design/layout, packaging (phosphor, lenses etc), optical materials (metals, dielectric encapsulants etc). Identify potential improvement opportunities for LED performance improvement.
* Take lead and perform modeling validation using Design of Experiment, process/device
characterizations, prototyping.
* Take lead the development of high-performance LED device architecture from initial concept through prototype approval and until production ramp.
* Work independently and collaborate with colleagues across the globe to solve challenging technical problems.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):
* Master or PhD in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Electrical/Electronics, Materials Engineering, or equivalent is required with more than 5 years of industry or research related experience.
* Strong understanding of the physics, fabrication, characterization of semiconductor

* Knowledge of the III-V relevant material systems is a plus.
* Three (3) or more years of experience in model development, design, and simulation of waveoptical, electrical, and electro-thermal processes in optoelectronics devices.
* Experience with commercial simulation and CAD tools such as COMSOL, LightTools, Zemax, Solid Works is a plus.
* Experience with simulation of wave-optical and electro-thermal processes in optoelectronics devices.
* Experience programming in Matlab, Python, C/C++.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience leading, coordinating project work, and ability to work interactively and effectively in a global project setup.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented with high commitment to work quality in a fast-paced
* Proven ability to solve complex analytical problems and provide robust solutions based on solid technical background.
